but sometimes, when we clean up these
registries some mistakes can be committed,
such as accidentally erase them, which might
cause our system to stop working properly or
even keeping it from turning one; to be able
of solving these issues we must follow a
series of steps, first of all, rebooting our
system, after that, if messages like these
appear:
Windows XP cannot start, because the

In those cases, we need to restore our
system, to achieve that, we have to enter to
the system�s symbol and enter the following
codes:
md tmp
copy c:\windows\system32\config\system
c:\windows\tmp\system.bak
copy c:\windows\system32\config\software
c:\windows\tmp\software.bak |

copy c:\windows\system32\config\sam
c:\windows\tmp\sam.bak
copy c:\windows\system32\config\security
c:\windows\tmp\security.bak
copy c:\windows\system32\config\default
c:\windows\tmp\default.bak
That will make your system to copy some
registers of the system32 file, where the
original registries are found, and replace
them, but if you do not wish to get involved
with DOS codes, you can also download a
software which will be in charge of
analyzing your registers so you can find
your damaged file. One of most used ones for
these cases is the
Registry Cleaner agent;
this software is in charge of looking for
invalid application routes, system services,
invalid direct accesses, file extensions,
audible signals, automatic start ups,
entrance records, etc.
Once your PC has been analyzed, the software
will make a list of all the errors found and
it will provide you the possibility of
debugging them, and will create a backup
file, in case an error occurs through the

I strongly recommend you to be really
careful when manipulating the system
registries, because by modifying them,
without been aware of what you are doing,
might cause some serious troubles in your
operative system, such as avoiding it from

of recovery the DOS codes or re � installing
the whole operative system.
